Ben Roethlisberger was not happy about the Peyton Manning play

Peyton Manning play

Ben Roethlisberger was not at all happy with the controversial play in the playoffs last weekend where Peyton Manning went to the ground, got up, and completed a long pass to help the Denver Broncos.

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback was mic’d up and his thoughts about the controversial fourth quarter play were recorded:

“He gave himself up on the ground, and we’re supposed to not touch him? Are you kidding me? You might as well drop back to pass every time, fall down. If you hit him, then it’s a personal foul,” Roethlisberger vented.

The play made a big difference as the Broncos got the ball past midfield instead of Manning being sacked for a loss around the Denver 15-yard line. The call remains controversial; some feel Manning gave himself up, while others say he was dodging the rush and slipped.

It’s hard to say exactly what happened, but you know Big Ben isn’t pleased with it. Here’s a look at some of the other controversial plays from the game.
