Report: Ben Roethlisberger believed to have sprained AC joint
The Pittsburgh Steelers believed Ben Roethlisberger has a sprained AC joint, according to a report.
NFL.com’s Albert Breer and Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that Roethlisberger is set to undergo an MRI to determine the exact nature of the injury, but the belief is that Roethlisberger sprained his AC joint.
It’s too soon to tell whether Roethlisberger will attempt to play against Denver next weekend, but NFL Media’s Michael Silver believes he will at least try to. Given that he returned Saturday against Cincinnati, that’s not a surprise.
The quarterback himself simply categorized himself as day-to-day:
Ben Roethlisberger just said briefly he had MRI and is day to day. Shoulder is "sore"

Roethlisberger didn’t seem to have much zip on his throws after returning Saturday night. Arguably, the Bengals’ boneheaded penalties had more to do with Pittsburgh eking out the field goal on their final drive than Roethlisberger did.
