Bills coach unable to assess Nathan Peterman until watching the tape

Buffalo Bills fans will not be happy with Sean McDermott response about Nathan Peterman’s performance on Sunday.

Peterman went 5-for-18 for 24 yards and two interceptions in a hideous 47-3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He was benched after two poor series in the third quarter for rookie Josh Allen.

Though it was pretty clear that Peterman played terribly, McDermott said after the game that he needs to look at the tape before giving a true assessment of the quarterback.

Peterman has made two starts in the NFL and both have gone incredibly poorly. It seems obvious that he is not fit to be a starting NFL quarterback, and you shouldn’t need to review tape to see that.

The Bills may want to give Allen some more time on the bench to learn, but Peterman isn’t allowing them to be competitive in the meantime.
