Blake Bortles put together a strong effort in the AFC championship game on Sunday, but his Jacksonville Jaguars fell short.
The Jaguars lost to the New England Patriots 24-20 despite leading the game by 10 points entering the fourth quarter. Falling short of the Super Bowl in such heartbreaking fashion left Bortles crushed. He was seen shedding a tear after the game:

Bortles went 23 of 36 for 293 yards and a touchdown. He looked really good particularly in the first half. However, he struggled in the fourth quarter while Tom Brady thrived, and that’s a big reason why his team fell short.
He should be proud of the season he had, but no doubt he knows how close he was to going to his first Super Bowl.
