Broncos LB Brandon Marshall calls for NFL team to sign Colin Kaepernick

Colin Kaepernick

Colin Kaepernick still has not been signed by an NFL team this offseason, and one fellow player who joined the quarterback with his national anthem protest last year believes Kaepernick is being blatantly blackballed.

On Thursday, Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall urged a team to step up and sign Kaepernick, who Marshall feels is better than every other free agent QB that has been signed.

Kaepernick’s controversial political stances are undoubtedly a concern for some teams, but the 29-year-old would have been signed right away if he had more to offer on the field. While he played well down the stretch for the San Francisco 49ers in 2016, he simply isn’t a fit for the type of offense some teams run. One NFL head coach shed some light on that aspect of it recently.

Marshall, who faced some backlash of his own last season when he joined Kaepernick’s movement, is not the only player who feels Kaep is being treated unfairly. If Kaepernick remains unsigned after the draft, expect more people to join Marshall in defending him.
