Report: Broncos expected to trade Ryan Clady
The law of conservation of offensive tackles must always be observed, and Ryan Clady appears to be the unlucky casualty.
After the Denver Broncos signed former Seahawks left tackle Russell Okung to a five-year deal on Thursday, the team is now expected to trade Ryan Clady, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.
The belief is the #Broncos now try to trade LT Ryan Clady, with Okung agreeing to terms in Denver.

Clady, 29, used to be one of the top offensive tackles in the NFL. But a Lisfranc injury suffered in late 2013 followed by a torn ACL in 2015 sapped Clady of much of his effectiveness. Shifting the four-time Pro Bowler from left tackle to right tackle does not appear to be a feasible option for the Broncos either as they just signed former Chief Donald Stephenson to fill that position.
Clady, who has been a Bronco his entire career since being drafted by them in the first round in 2008, has two years and $19.5 million left on his deal, which could make him somewhat difficult to trade. But Clady should still generate a fair amount of interest considering the relatively weak talent pool at the left tackle position.
