Broncos hire DeMarcus Ware as pass-rush consultant
DeMarcus Ware was one of the most feared pass-rushers in the game during his 12 NFL seasons, and the nine-time Pro Bowler is looking to pass on some of his knowledge and experience to the team he finished his career with.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Ware has been hired by the Denver Broncos as a pass-rush consultant this offseason. He’ll work for the team on a part-time basis.
Broncos are hiring former LB DeMarcus Ware as a pass-rush consultant on a part-time basis, per source. Ware will work a few days a week, a few times a month, trying to help improve Denver’s pass rushers.

Ware currently ranks eighth on the NFL’s all-time sack leaders list with 138.5. He racked up 21.5 in three seasons with the Broncos before he retired in 2016. Ware, 35, expressed his excitement over seeing how Denver’s loaded defensive line will perform this year, so it makes sense that he wants an even closer look at the unit.
