Broncos WR denies eating marijuana before arrest
Denver Broncos wide receiver Carlos Henderson was alleged to have tried to eat marijuana during a traffic stop, which he denied.
Via Zack Rickens of KNOE, a probable cause affidavit stated that the receiver was stopped for speeding on I-20 in Louisiana and officers smelled marijuana coming from his vehicle. Pieces of marijuana and an extinguished marijuana cigar were allegedly found in the vehicle.
In addition, officers allegedly saw a “thick green residue” in Henderson’s mouth. While he did admit to smoking, he denied that he ate marijuana before the traffic stop.
Henderson was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and was released on bond.
Henderson is already the second NFL player to get hit with a marijuana arrest this year.
