Bruce Arians: Monday Night Football analyst role would be ‘dream job’

Bruce Arians

Bruce Arians may have retired from coaching, but he certainly doesn’t sound eager to step away from football entirely.

The former Arizona Cardinal coach told ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss that he would love to replace Jon Gruden as the analyst for ESPN’s Monday Night Football, calling it a “dream job.”

“Oh gosh, I’d be interested,” Arians said. “I don’t think they’re interested in me. But that would be like the dream job, especially working with someone as good as Sean (McDonough). That’d be fun. That’s obviously a home run.”

Perhaps ESPN would like him more than he thinks, given Arians has a reputation for being a good, blunt quote. That said, the network may look to remain in-house for the position, which would save them some money.
