Bryan Stork reportedly considering retirement after trade to Washington
Bryan Stork was traded by the Patriots to Washington, but it sounds like his NFL future is in question.
Reports came out early Wednesday saying the Patriots were considering releasing Stork. They eventually agreed to trade Stork to Washington for a conditional 7th-round pick. But after being acquired by Washington, reports came out saying the center was considering retirement.
Here’s what former Washington tight end Chris Cooley said on Twitter:
Actually stork is retiring. Huh? This just got interesting.

Reporter Mike Jones had heard the same:
Asked about report of Stork retiring, source says, "Possibly." So… hang tight.

Stork has dealt with concussion issues since college and has experienced at least one for four straight seasons. The one he had last season limited him to eight games with the Pats. Given the recent enlightenment surrounding the danger of concussions, Stork would not be the first football player to retire because of head injuries.
