Cam Newton thinks he can still get better as NFL player
After a whirlwind 2015, Cam Newton is prepping for 2016, and he expects to be better than ever.
Newton has things he wants to improve on in 2016, and he thinks he has not peaked as an NFL quarterback.
“I haven’t peaked,” Newton said Thursday, via Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer. “I haven’t climaxed as a player, and that’s what I need to get better at.
“I always can find ways to take my game to the next level, and just getting everybody on the same page as one of the captains on this team, I take that very pridefully. And knowing there are a lot of people looking at me, as well as others, to lead the team.”
Coach Ron Rivera said that reading defenses is one thing Newton is still improving on.
Newton is obviously still hungry after how last season ended. Aside from on-field matters, perhaps he’d like to improve on his dancing skills, and working on his media handling definitely might be a good idea.
