Cam Newton leaves game with injury with injury after hard hit
The Carolina Panthers got a terrible scare Sunday during their game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Quarterback Cam Newton was knocked out of the game after taking a hard hit to the midsection and was replaced by backup Derek Anderson.

While there was no official word on the severity of the injury, it appeared that Newton simply took a shot to a rather bad area.

Cam Newton appears fine on the sideline. He is going over plays on the bench. Derek Anderson is NOT throwing, so it would appear that Newton will return for the next series.

With two weeks to go the playoffs, this was a huge scare, but it seems that everything’s minor, much to Carolina’s relief.
