Cardinals will start Blaine Gabbert at quarterback Sunday
Blaine Gabbert is back to being an NFL starter.
Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians announced that Gabbert would start Sunday against the Houston Texans ahead of Drew Stanton, who has been coping with a knee injury.

This doesn’t come as a surprise. Gabbert has been serving as the third-string quarterback all season, but now that Carson Palmer and Stanton are hurt, there was no other option. Stanton hasn’t been particularly good, either, so they’re not losing much.
It’s probably not a good idea to expect much from Gabbert either — he started five games for the San Francisco 49ers last season, losing four of them, throwing five touchdowns and six interceptions.
