Carson Palmer out for Week 5 with concussion
Carson Palmer is out for Week 5 with a concussion suffered in the Arizona Cardinals’ Week 4 loss to the Rams on Sunday.
The Cardinals announced the news via Twitter Wednesday about their first-string quarterback:
Carson Palmer is out for #AZvsSF and won't make the trip to San Francisco.

Palmer suffered a concussion Sunday in the fourth quarter against the Rams when his head slammed against the turf on a sack (video here). Drew Stanton replaced him in the game and threw two interceptions.
With Palmer out for the game, it will be Stanton getting the starting nod on Thursday against the 49ers. Stanton is in his third season with the Cardinals. He’s 5 of 15 for 48 yards and two interceptions this season.
