Chance Warmack got $50 bonus for losing a pound on Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is among the more popular holidays of the year, in part because of the great food that is usually enjoyed. When it comes to throwing down a good meal, offensive linemen often have little competition. That’s why Tennesee Titans head coach Mike Mularkey did his best to ensure the big guys up front didn’t go overboard with their Thanksgiving feasts.
Mularkey weighed his players on Thursday morning in an effort to make sure they stayed below their target weight. At a meeting on Friday, Mularkey asked who thought they were still below their designated number, and Chance Womack nominated himself.
“Well I’m so proud of you Chance, come on down here. I’m going to give you this money,” Mularkey said via The Tennessean.
To Womack’s surprise, Mularkey wanted to weigh Womack, just to be certain.
“He threw me off,” Warmack said of Mularkey’s decision to weigh him. “I didn’t know what he was going to do. But I started stripping.”
Womack weighed in at 326 pounds on Thursday morning and 327 on Friday, three pounds below his target of 330 pounds. Don’t think Womack didn’t enjoy himself on Thanksgiving, though. He said he had chicken, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, and some sweet potato casserole.
I’m sure there are more than a few people who wish they could enjoy all of the food Thanksgiving has to offer and lose weight instead of putting on a pound or two. Chance Warmack proved it is possible, as hard as it is to believe.
