Free agent cornerback Charles Tillman is interested in playing for only one NFL team, and that’s the Carolina Panthers.

Tillman, who is recovering from a torn ACL, told Christopher Dabe of NOLA.com that the Panthers would be his only choice once he is healthy enough to sign.

“I just want to play for Carolina,” Tillman said Saturday at Matt Forte’s football camp in Slidell.

“Being in Carolina felt like I had been there my entire career,” Tillman added. “The team, the community, the atmosphere, that vibe. The Carolinas — North Carolina and South Carolina — they showed a lot of love.

“That’s the only team I really want to play for. It’s Carolina. It’s a great group of men. A great group of coaches. The front office guys are great. To me it was no surprise they were, or we were, 17-2.”

Tillman’s likely timetable is toward the end of training camp as he tries to come back from the ACL injury. In the meantime, he’s been staying in shape and hopefully not doing any further damage to himself.
