Charles Woodson announces retirement at end of season (Video)
Since being drafted in 1998, Charles Woodson has gone on to forge a Hall of Fame career, one that will soon come to an end. On Monday, Woodson announced his intention to retire at the end of this season.

Just as impressive as Woodson’s ability to still play at a high level as a defensive back at 39 years old is the impressive list of accomplishments he’s been able to compile. He’s been named to the Pro Bowl eight times, won a Defensive Player of the Year Award, led the NFL in interceptions twice, and has lifted the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Woodson is also the only player in league history with 50+ interceptions and 20+ sacks.
Woodson is in his 18th season in the NFL. 11 of those have come with the Raiders while the other seven were spent with the Packers. Woodson is high on the list of the best defensive backs the NFL has ever seen and will surely have a place waiting for him in the Hall of Fame when he becomes eligible. You can expect Raider Nation to be well represented in Canton, Ohio the day Charles Woodson is inducted.
