Chris Baker wants public apology over hit on Nick Foles
The NFL ruled on Tuesday that the hit Chris Baker put on Nick Foles on Sunday — which resulted in Baker being ejected from the game — was not illegal. Now, the Washington Redskins defensive end would like all those who called the play “dirty” to apologize.
Baker has repeatedly defended himself by saying he had every right to level Foles, as the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback was roaming toward the ball carrier after what was initially ruled an interception. It was later determined that Foles’ pass hit the ground and was an incompletion.
Yeah all y'all folks had so much to say about me being a dirty player like I said before I did nothing wrong just made a football play

I deserve a public apology for getting ejected and talked about by you commentators for just doing my job #knowtherules

Fine, so the hit was legal. But anyone who saw the play knows Baker didn’t think he was preventing Foles from making a play on the ball. As you can see from the video above, Baker could clearly see that the ball carrier was heading to the ground and the play was over. Despite that, he still decided to throw a huge hit while Foles was halfheartedly in pursuit.
Was it legal? I guess so. Was it necessary? Give me a break.
