Miami Dolphins offensive line coach Chris Foerster is handing in his resignation in the wake of a video surfacing that showed him using drugs before a team meeting.

In a statement, Foerster apologized to the Dolphins organization and said he will be seeking help from medical professionals.

“I am resigning from my position with the Miami Dolphins and accept full responsibility for my actions,” the 55-year-old wrote, via ESPN’s Adam Schefter. I want to apologize to the organization and my sole focus is on getting the help that I need with the support of my family and medical professionals.”

The Dolphins released a statement of their own condemning the behavior but offering support for Foerster.

“We were made aware of the video late last night and have no tolerance for this behavior. After speaking with Chris this morning, he accepted full responsibility and we accepted his resignation effective immediately,” the team said. “Although Chris is no longer with the organization, we will work with him to get the help he needs during this time.”

In the video, Foerster was shown snorting cocaine and bragging about doing it before a meeting. The 33-year-old woman who released the footage said her decision to expose Foerster had to do with the way players have been treated for protesting the national anthem.
