Dolphins LB Chris McCain taunts Tom Brady with Twitter avatar
The Miami Dolphins appear to have found their identity under interim head coach Dan Campbell, and the team has hit its stride at a perfect time with just four days to prepare for their toughest challenge of the season. If Chris McCain’s Twitter profile is any indication, the Dolphins linebacker isn’t intimidated by the thought of facing Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
After Miami throttled the Houston Texans Sunday, McCain changed his Twitter avatar to a photoshop that depicts him squeezing Brady’s head.
While there has already been buzz about McCain giving the Patriots bulletin board material that they don’t need, this particular social media stunt seems pretty harmless. Plus, the Patriots showed last week with this tweet that they are not above taunting their opponents before a big game.
McCain has appeared in just three games this season and hasn’t made much of an impact. If Miami wants to stay hot and beat the Patriots at home — where they have won 47 of their last 51 games — they will need to play an almost perfect game. Tweets won’t matter much come Thursday.
