Report: CJ Anderson to undergo meniscus surgery, likely done for season

CJ Anderson

Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson is likely to miss the remainder of the 2016 NFL season after he suffered a knee injury in Monday night’s game against the Houston Texans.

Mike Klis of 9News in Denver reports that Anderson will undergo surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee.

What seemed like it could be a minor injury at first has turned into anything but. Anderson actually returned to Monday’s game after injuring his knee, but it was later determined that he was dealing with something serious.

A report from earlier in the day Thursday indicated that Anderson has told those close to him he is done for the season, though Anderson was angered by the report and fired off a series of tweets about it. Unfortunately, the worst-case scenario has come to fruition.
