CJ Spiller reportedly visiting with Packers
After less than 100 yards on the ground by the Green Bay Packers in each of their first two games of the season, could free agent running back CJ Spiller be the answer?
According to a report by Adam Caplan of ESPN on Tuesday, Spiller is visiting with the Packers.
#Packers are having veteran RB C.J. Spiller in for a visit today, source said.

The former No. 9 overall pick was released by the New Orleans Saints earlier this month. Green Bay’s run game has been a glaring point of weakness in the early going with Eddie Lacy off to another slow start, James Starks only getting 11 total carries so far, and the team’s lone rushing touchdown belonging to quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Spiller would add some versatility to the Packers’ offense with his ability as a pass-catching back, something neither Lacy nor Starks are particularly strong as. But after his grand disappearing act in New Orleans, it’s worth wondering how much the 29-year-old still has left to actually contribute to an NFL team.
