Colin Kaepernick ripped by reporter Lowell Cohn for being ‘arrogant’ and ‘rude’
Colin Kaepernick could very well be getting close to the end of his career in San Francisco, and one Bay Area reporter on Tuesday wanted to make sure he got a parting shot in at the 49ers quarterback.
With Kaepernick having been benched this week in favor of Blaine Gabbert, Lowell Cohn feels this is as good a time as any to attack the 27-year-old’s character and alleged unprofessionalism.
Kaepernick one of the most arrogant, rude athletes I ever covered in 35 years.

Cohn, a veteran reporter, should probably cite specific examples if he is going to launch that type of assault. But for whatever reason, Kaepernick has rubbed a number of members of the media the wrong way over the years, though the guy who complained about his wardrobe selection sounded like a fool.
It should be noted that not every reporter shares Kohn’s opinion:
I've talked with Kaepernick since his Nevada days and I never got an arrogant hit from him. At a certain point, he just stopped talking.

When Kaepernick first gained popularity with the Niners, his parents had to defend him against some pretty dumb criticism. We don’t know the guy personally, so we can’t say where it stems from. The one thing we do know is that it’s easier to pile on when someone is playing miserably, and that is exactly what has been going on with Kaep.
