Colts try to recruit fans in St. Louis

Roger Goodell announced on Tuesday the Rams will be heading to Los Angeles for the next season, meaning St. Louis will once again lose an NFL franchise. Most recently, the Cardinals moved from St. Louis to Arizona after the 1987 season. Seeing an opportunity to perhaps gain a few fans, the Colts jumped at the opportunity.

The above graphic appeared on the Twitter account of the Colts Wednesday morning. Along with it was the text “We’ve had some @NFL fans reach out to us due to some recent events… #JustSaying”

It’s cut throat out there trying to grow the fan base, apparently. Who knows, maybe some Rams fans will become supporters of the team in Indianapolis. Or, there’s always the Chiefs, who are also in Missouri. Remaining loyal to the team as they move to Los Angeles is an option as well.

Not surprisingly, it wasn’t too long before someone brought up the Colts infamously packing up and moving from Baltimore in the middle of the night.

Well played by that Twitter user. Well played, indeed.
