Being a rookie means you’re subject to pranks and hazing treatment from veterans on the team. If you play for the Broncos, it likely means a ridiculous haircut.

Getting a Mohawk or completely shaven head would be the easy way out. When Denver’s senior members get hold of the clippers, there’s no telling what the final result will be. For offensive lineman Connor McGovern, that ended up being what appears to be a rat carved in the back of his head, complete with hanging tail.

As a result of concentrating on the back, it’s easy to ignore the front, whatever is going on there. Can you imagine having to go out in public with a rodent on the back of your head?

During Tim Tebow’s rookie season, his teammates had him walking around looking like Friar Tuck. Earlier this summer, Vikings rookie wide receiver Laquon Treadwell had his SUV filled with fruit snacks. Talk about opposite ends of the rookie hazing spectrum.
