Cullen Jenkins says he was fined more for roughing passer than players in fight
The New York Giants and St. Louis Rams brought us one of the most chippy games of the season last Sunday, with a big fight breaking out that resulted in four players being ejected. Giants defensive lineman Cullen Jenkins was not one of them, but he still owes the league money for something he did during the game.
On Wednesday, Jenkins tweeted that he has been fined more for a roughing the passer penalty than any of the players who were involved in the brawl.
So I just got fined more for roughing the passer than anyone who was in the fight. Even players who got ejected. So I should just fight then

Glad to see the leagues stance on violence is still a priority.

As Shutdown Corner noted, Rams coach Jeff Fisher said he doesn’t expect any suspensions or fines for the players who were involved in the fight.
Given all the nasty stuff that went on during the game, you can understand why Jenkins is upset. That said, players are almost always fined now for roughing the passer. Handing out punishment for a fight is a bit more subjective.
