Darren Sharper has more rape charges filed against him

Former New Orleans Saints safety Darren Sharper was indicted back in December on rape charges stemming from three different alleged incidents. On Friday, a fourth set of rape charges was formally filed against Sharper.

The Associated Press reports that two more women have accused Sharper of sexually assaulting them in Las Vegas in January 2014. The women claim they were “incapable of resisting,” which sounds like it could be related to the drugging accusations that have also been brought against Sharper.

Sharper is sought on a warrant in Las Vegas, though he has been in jail in Los Angeles since Feb. 27. His attorney, David Chesnoff, was in court on Friday to hear the latest charges.

In addition to the alleged Las Vegas incidents, Sharper has been charged with sexually assaulting three women in New Orleans, and two women in Arizona. He has been accused of drugging several others. The 39-year-old could face life in prison if convicted of rape in Louisiana.
