Davante Adams ruled out for Week 16 with concussion

Davante Adams left last weekend’s game against the Carolina Panthers after taking a brutal hit from linebacker Thomas Davis, and the Green Bay Packers wide receiver will miss at least one game because of it.

Adams has been in the NFL’s concussion protocol, and Packers coach Mike McCarthy has confirmed that he will not play against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

Adams has suffered multiple concussions during his career, and there’s no reason to risk anything with Green Bay officially eliminated from postseason contention. Davis was suspended two games for his vicious head shot on Adams, but the suspension was reduced to one game on appeal.
