Dean Pees comes out of retirement to join Titans as DC

Tennessee Titans

Dean Pees’ retirement didn’t even last as long as the Kim Kardashian-Kris Humphries marriage.

Pees is coming out of retirement to serve as Mike Vrabel’s defensive coordinator on the Tennessee Titans, The Tennessean reported on Monday.

The 68-year-old had been the Baltimore Ravens’ defensive coordinator since 2012 but announced his retirement after the season.

Perhaps it was Vrabel who convinced him to come out of retirement. Pees was a defensive coach with the Patriots from 2004-2009 and coached Vrabel, who was a linebacker for New England from 2001-2008.

Pees’ son, Matt, will also be joining him on Vrabel’s staff.
