DeAndre Hopkins has bold claim about his NFL standing
Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins thinks he’s underappreciated among NFL wide receivers.
Hopkins is usually left behind the likes of Antonio Brown on lists of the NFL’s best wide receivers, but he thinks that’s unjust.
“I definitely feel like I’m underrated. I think I’m the best receiver in the NFL,” Hopkins said, via Sarah Barshop of ESPN. “Having guys ranked in front of me that I know that I’m better than, that’s always going to drive me.”
Hopkins is certainly paid like one of the best, and his numbers are up there, too. He led the league with 13 touchdown receptions in 2017, though he’s never topped the NFL charts in either receptions or yardage. With Deshaun Watson set at quarterback, though, perhaps his numbers will rise and he’ll get the respect he feels he deserves.
