DeAngelo Williams shares cool source of motivation from Panthers
DeAngelo Williams on Monday shared a note from the Carolina Panthers that he keeps as motivation for his NFL career. Nope, the note isn’t something inspiring telling him to aim for his dreams and to keep working hard. To the contrary, the note is the official termination letter he received from Carolina when they released him last year.
On the note, a box was checked explaining the reason for Williams’ release. It said that Williams’ performance or skill wasn’t as good as other players on the team’s roster.
I am driven from within, but walking by this every morning absolutely adds fuel to the fire! #MotivationMonday pic.twitter.com/SQu8SiaN4Y

Williams says he is driven by that note on a daily basis.
Williams had only rushed for 219 yards on 63 carries in 2014, which explains why Carolina finally cut him after drafting him in 2006. He proved he wasn’t done yet by gobbling up 907 yards and 11 touchdowns on 200 carries for the Steelers last season.
Maybe Pittsburgh should thank Carolina for providing motivation in the form of that contract termination note.
