Report: Derek Carr not expected to miss time with back spasms
Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr appears to have avoided serious injury after leaving Sunday’s game with back spasms.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Carr’s injury is relatively minor, and that while he is sore and stiff, there are no internal injuries and he thinks he will be able to play Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.
Carr is still due for an MRI on Monday, but the Raiders appear confident that no serious issues will turn up.
Oakland has been optimistic all along that Carr would be fine going forward. It appears that they will be proven correct, though it sounds like Carr is dealing with a painful injury in the short-term.
