Derrick Henry could see bigger role in Week 9
Derrick Henry has taken a backseat to DeMarco Murray this season, but the rookie could see some extra work in Week 9.
Murray is limited with a toe injury, so that means Henry could get an increased workload.
Murray has been excellent for the Titans this season, as he’s scored 8 touchdowns and averaged nearly 125 total yards per game. Tennessee has been using him as their main back, but Henry received a career high 20 touches last week against the Jags with Murray banged up. That could continue in Week 9 at San Diego.
Henry, a second-round pick, is averaging 4.2 yards per carry. He scored his first career touchdown in Week 8 against Jacksonville.
Between Murray and Henry, the Titans have perhaps the best running back tandem in the league.
