DeSean Jackson’s home invaded; incident may have been gang related

DeSean Jackson Crips

Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson’s home was the scene of a home invasion this week, and police reportedly suspect the incident was gang related.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that four or five people stormed Jackson’s home in Tarzana, Calif., with guns. Jackson was not home at the time, but there were reportedly six people inside the house who were able to fight off the intruders. One of the people in Jackson’s home was pistol-whipped and sustained minor injuries.

Investigators reportedly believe the suspects had been inside Jackson’s home before, as they knew exactly where his security cameras were stationed. Police have leads on some of the intruders and believe the incident was “gang related.”

There have been rumors linking Jackson to Los Angeles gangs for quite some time, though he has never gotten into any actual trouble off the field. Around the time the Philadelphia Eagles released him last year, reports surfaced about Jackson’s possible affiliation with a gang. Jackson hasn’t helped the speculation by seemingly flashing gang signs during games. Last year, Jackson mocked the Eagles over the gang reports after they cut him.
