Detroit Lions to consider uniform change

Detroit-Lions-Snap-Division-Losing-StreakThe Detroit Lions will consider a change to their uniforms in the future, the team’s president says.

Lions president Rod Wood was a guest with “Ryan and Rico” on WMGC-FM and said Thursday he wants to look at the team’s uniforms for potential future changes.

“I do want to look at our entire uniform color scheme and look, and that’s something that’s also on the table, maybe for an update of the regular uniform for 2017,” Wood said.

The Lions last changed/updated their logos in 2009. An NFL rule prevents teams from making further changes/updates to their uniforms within five years after a change. Now that they are beyond that window, the team may consider some updates.

Though a uniform change could be a nice thing for the fans, we’re guessing they’re more concerned with the team doing everything possible to ensure their best player doesn’t retire.
