Report: Dez Bryant not expected to sign with team until after draft

Dez Bryant would have been arguably the best player available on the free agent market at the start of the offseason, and the star receiver still has yet to sign with a team. With the NFL Draft set to take place this week, he may have to wait a little longer.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Bryant is not expected to sign a new contract until after the draft.

It makes sense that wide receiver-needy teams want to wait and see if they can address the position in the draft and how much salary cap space they will have left. Depending on how things shake out, Bryant may have an even bigger market after the draft, or it could go the other way.

Bryant has basically admitted he wants to get revenge against the Cowboys, and we may end up surprised about how much money he signs for. While the free agent pool is typically dried up by the time the draft rolls around, Bryant could present some team with a rare opportunity well into the offseason.
