Dez Bryant settles lawsuit with former financial adviser

Dez Bryant

Dez Bryant has settled his lawsuit with his former financial adviser, Royce West, who is also a Texas state senator.

West started proceedings when he sued Bryant for allegedly causing $60,000 worth of damage to West’s home while living in it as a renter. In July, the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver responded by filing a countersuit. In his suit, Bryant alleged that West, acting as Bryant’s financial adviser, arranged endorsement deals and did not share the proceeds with the receiver.

The case has been settled though, West’s attorney said in a statement Monday.

“Dez Bryant and Royce West have settled the disputes between them amicably and have withdrawn all claims and counterclaims,” West’s attorney Trey Crawford said in a statement.

Bryant had three catches for 40 yards and a touchdown on Sunday night against the Bears. The receiver is undergoing an MRI on his knee.
