Dion Lewis reportedly returning to practice this week
Remember Dion Lewis? He’s the veteran running back who revived his career with the New England Patriots last year only to suffer a season-ending knee injury in Week 9, and we have not seen him since. The Patriots could be getting him back very soon.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Lewis is expected to resume practicing this week.
#Patriots RB Dion Lewis (knee) expected back at practice this week, source said, starting his 21-day window for activation. He's doing well

Lewis has been on the physically unable to perform list, and this is the first indication we have received that he is getting close to making a return. Third-year running back James White has filled the passing game role for the Patriots, but he has not been nearly as effective as Lewis was last year.
Before Lewis was lost for the season, he was on pace for more than 1,000 total yards from scrimmage and had emerged as one of the best pass-catching backs in the league. He seemed like a natural fit in New England’s offense, despite Rex Ryan going out of his way to disrespect him. A healthy Lewis would make Tom Brady that much more dangerous.
