Fuming over the obnoxious amount of arrests by my favorite team in the NFL, the Bengals, I was prompted to rank their crimes. Well, looks like I won’t have to worry for too long. Believe it or not, there is a new crime leader in the NFL. You know who? The stinking Dolphins!

The Dolphins officially lead the NFL in offseason player arrests.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel has learned that wide receiver Kelly Campbell was arrested on drug charges in Atlanta on July 3, which led to his release by the Dolphins two days later.

Campbell was charged with possession of marijuana and Ecstasy, both of which are felonies, and a misdemeanor charge of providing false information to Fulton (Ga.) County police officers.

Campbell joins Joey Porter, Chris Chambers, and my personal favorite, Fred Evans, as the Dolphins players to have been arrested this offseason. Keep up the good work gents — you’re only making my boys look good!

Yeah, but in most of the cases, the players are gone. They are in zero tolerance mode.

Chambers may walk because he passed the breath test at the jail.

Porter…well, he was there for five minutes and acted like an idiot. He now over $100K poorer in NFL fines.

Both Campbell and Evans were promptly released. Campbell might’ve made the team as a backup WR, but Evans was pegged to at least be in the rotation on the DL if not a starter?
