Donovan McNabb’s blood alcohol level more than twice legal limit

Donovan McNabb could be facing some serious penalties in the wake of his latest arrest for driving while under the influence.

According to TMZ, police discovered that McNabb’s blood alcohol level was .17 — more than twice the legal limit in the state of Arizona — when he rear-ended another car at a traffic light last month.

Videos from McNabb’s arrest that were released on Monday showed the former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback telling police that he has been battling a cold and taking medicine to treat the illness. You can see the arrest footage here.

The DUI arrest was McNabb’s second in less than two years. As TMZ notes, Arizona law considers it an “extreme DUI” when a person is found to be operating a motor vehicle with higher than a .15 blood alcohol level. The penalties for an extreme DUI are even harsher, and McNabb is already a repeat offender.

It goes without saying that McNabb should have just followed Terrell Owens’ advice. If convicted, he could be facing some jail time.
