Donte Whitner: NFL came down too hard on Tom Brady
Plenty of people are defending Tom Brady in the wake of the punishment he received from the league for Deflategate, including some of his opponents.
Donte Whitner, who went to Brady’s rival school Ohio State and played against the Patriots QB twice a season from 2006-2010 as a member of the Buffalo Bills, defending the Super Bowl winner via Twitter.
I honestly feel bad for Tom Brady!! I know first hand the type of competitor he is & how much work he puts in… Came down too hard on him!

What's even worse is that people want to see him fall because of his greatness! #FreeTomBrady

I’m not sure if I can agree with you about all that, Whitner. A lot of people want to see Brady fall because they feel he cheated and didn’t like that he denied/lied about it. Few people will dispute how hard of a worker Brady is, but they will now question his character. Given all of the advantages the Patriots have gained over the years, there is good reason to do so.
