Doug Martin reportedly expected to miss three weeks with hamstring injury
Following a resurgent 2015 campaign in which he appeared in all 16 games for the team, Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin won’t quite be having a repeat performance this season.
According to a report by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network on Wednesday, Martin is expected to miss about three weeks with a hamstring injury.

The fifth-year back had to exit Tampa Bay’s Week 2 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday with what he called a “slight tweak” of the hamstring.
The Buccaneers go up against three tough defenses in the next three weeks, squaring off against the Los Angeles Rams, the Denver Broncos, and the Carolina Panthers in succession. With a Week 6 bye, Tampa Bay may opt to hold Martin out until Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers. The versatile Charles Sims should be their featured back in the meantime with veteran Jacquizz Rodgers backing him up.
