Drew Brees has torn plantar fascia in foot
Peyton Manning is not the only Super Bowl-winning quarterback who is dealing with a torn plantar fascia in his foot.
ESPN’s Ed Werder reports that New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees had an MRI Tuesday that revealed he suffered a very similar injury to the one Manning has been diagnosed with.

Brees injured his foot in the first half of his team’s loss to the Detroit Lions Monday night and was limping throughout the game. He was later spotted with a walking boot in the locker room.
Werder added that Brees still hopes to suit up for the final two games of the regular season, but the injury is to his plant foot and will likely be painful. The 36-year-old also suffered a shoulder injury on a nasty hit earlier this season (video here), so the Saints might decide to play it safe.
