Report: Eagles could make deal for second overall pick
The top of the NFL Draft may not be settled just yet.
According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the Philadelphia Eagles could try to move up to No. 2 if the Los Angeles Rams select the quarterback the Browns are targeting, which is believed to be Jared Goff.
If the #Browns see the #Rams take the QB they want, don't rule out a trade with the #Eagles for No. 2. Philly was in discussions for No. 1.

NFL Media’s Mike Silver believes that Goff will be the Rams’ pick at No. 1, and heavily implied that the California quarterback is at the top of Cleveland’s draft board as well.
When the Browns signed RG3, it provided Hue Jackson some insurance in the event a trade like this happened… and the QB he wants is gone…

The Browns, it is said, are open to moving the second pick. If they want Goff and the Rams take him, that willingness may be improved, and there have been rumblings that the Eagles would like to get one of the two big quarterbacks – as Rapoport notes, they were talking about the first overall pick as well. In this case, apparently, they would wind up with Wentz. It sounds like the Eagles do have a plan B if they stay in their current position at No. 8, though.
