Report: Eagles seeking first-round pick for Nick Foles
The Philadelphia Eagles are putting a high asking price on quarterback Nick Foles.
According to Peter King of the MMQB, the Eagles are using the Sam Bradford trade as a baseline for Foles negotiations. Bradford netted the Eagles a first- and fourth-round pick, and Philadelphia wants at least that in return for Foles, who they see as a better player.
The Eagles have reportedly received one “respectable” trade offer for Foles, but they may have a hard time matching that asking price.
It’s a more reasonable ask than one former executive floated, but still steep. On one hand, Foles is a Super Bowl winner, but his wider body of work doesn’t quite justify a return like that. The Eagles will eventually move him — they have no reason to hang onto him with Carson Wentz coming back — but what they get for him will be intriguing.
