Report: Eagles making strong push for Tom Coughlin
With NFL head coaching candidates disappearing by the day, the Eagles are reportedly intensifying their attempts to lure Tom Coughlin to Philadelphia.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Thursday morning that talks between Coughlin and the Eagles have ramped up.
Eagles now have turned their attention to former Giants HC Tom Coughlin, per sources. Yet, there are issues for two sides to work through.

#Eagles talks with Tom Coughlin have intensified, as well. This could all go down very quickly. He seems to have wrapped his head around it

The Eagles were said to have interest in former Giants offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo, but the Giants hired him as their head coach on Wednesday. Hue Jackson is also no longer an option after he signed with the Cleveland Browns.
The San Francisco 49ers are also reportedly interested in Coughlin.
Coughlin made it quite clear during his final press conference with the Giants that the team forced him out. He left open the possibility that he could continue coaching, and it sounds like he is leaning toward doing that. And if you think Coughlin wouldn’t sign with a division rival after winning two championships in New York, just have a look at the icy exchange he had with his former boss.
