Eagles releasing Daryl Worley
The Philadelphia Eagles acquired Daryl Worley in a trade with the Carolina Panthers less than two months ago, and they are already moving on from the defensive back.
According to multiple reports, the Eagles have decided to release Worley in the wake of his Sunday morning arrest. The 23-year-old was booked after he was found passed out in his car blocking the freeway. Worley allegedly became combative with police officers, and a taser was used on him.
Worley, a third-round pick in 2016, was expected to compete for a starting role with Philadelphia this upcoming season. He could face disciplinary action from the NFL regardless of how his case plays out.
Believe it or not, Worley was actually the second NFL player who had a Taser used on him this offseason.
