Report: Eagles sign QB Christian Hackenberg
Once a highly-touted young quarterback, Christian Hackenberg is getting another shot at the NFL level.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Philadelphia Eagles are bringing in Hackenberg as a developmental backup to Carson Wentz and Nick Foles.
The #Eagles are signing QB Christian Hackenberg, source said. Not a reflection on health of Wentz/Foles or anything else — just a chance to try developing another QB with talent, as they have with Nate Sudfeld.

The former New York Jet did not last long with the Oakland Raiders this offseason, but Doug Pederson and the Eagles are a pretty nice landing spot for a quarterback who will still feel he has some upside. The former second-round pick is still just 23, though it’s not a good sign for him that he’s already on his third NFL organization a little over two years after being drafted.
