Eli Manning reportedly had X-ray on neck following Chargers loss

Eli Manning Giants

No team was ravaged by injuries worse than the New York Giants in Week 5, and Eli Manning could be among the players who will be feeling very sore on Monday.

According to the New York Daily News, Manning underwent an X-ray on his neck following his team’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Fortunately, the results came back clean.

Manning took a knee to the head from teammate Ereck Flowers on New York’s final drive, and he appeared a bit wobbly when he got to his feet. He remained in the game and was quick to tell reporters afterword that he did not sustain a concussion.

It’s good news that Manning’s X-ray came back negative, but it’s safe to assume he was experiencing some discomfort to have an X-ray in the first place. His injury came on a day where four Giants wide receivers left the game, and there’s a good chance Odell Beckham Jr. will miss the remainder of the season.
