Ezekiel Elliott, friends get visit from Coast Guard during yacht party
The Dallas Cowboys may not be babysitting Ezekiel Elliott this offseason, but the U.S. Coast Guard paid the star running back and his friends a visit over the weekend.
According to TMZ, Elliott and his friends were partying on a yacht named “No Rules II” on Saturday when some Coast Guard officials pulled up alongside them. Witnesses said two officers searched the boat for about 20 minutes before returning to their own vessel and heading off.
It’s unclear why the Coast Guard decided to search the boat, which was reportedly rented. A video shared by TMZ shows Elliott sitting on a wave runner trailered to the back of the yacht as Coast Guard officials spoke with people on board. In all likelihood, the search was something very standard to be sure the yacht was in compliance with registration and safety protocol.
Fortunately for Cowboys fans, it appears Elliott did not get into any kind of trouble. That may not end up being the case after what he did to a woman at a St. Patrick’s Day parade last week, but it doesn’t look like Elliott was doing anything wrong this time around.
